The 2017 Lucky Kidney Run™ & Irish Festival, presented by Fresenius Kidney Care, brought in a record $52,000 this past March! The event has quickly become Knoxville’s premier St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, and is a multi-day event now under the name of KNOX SHAMROCK FEST.
“We are proud to bring this exciting event to the Knoxville community each year and raise awareness for the thousands of East Tennesseans living with kidney disease,” says ETKF’s Executive Director, Katie Martin. “What started out as the ‘Lucky Kidney Run™’ in September 2012, has now grown into a weekend-long, regional event. The city has come together along with local business, residents, students, families and volunteers, all for a wonderful cause right here at home,” says Martin.
The ETKF was founded in 2010 as a 100% LOCAL non-profit, providing financial support for life-sustaining dialysis treatments and other kidney-related health needs. All money raised by ETKF always stays in East Tennessee.
The 2018 KNOX SHAMROCK FEST will take place in downtown Knoxville’s historic Market Square on Friday & Saturday, March 16th & 17th, 2018. Registration will open soon for the annual LUCKY KIDNEY RUN on Saturday morning, March 17th, at 10am, beginning in historic Market Square.
All donations to the ETKF are tax-deductible and can be made easily online. ETKF accepts monetary donations, vehicle donations, and in-kind donations.
